OData integration

Connect an OData v4 service and turn its entity sets into dashboards you can refresh.

Flitch is an AI BI tool that connects to OData and turns your data into shareable dashboards. Flitch reads OData v4 feeds from Business Central, SAP, and other services over Basic auth or OAuth2. Any entity set becomes a dataset you can chart in plain language and keep current on a schedule.

  • Basic or OAuth2 auth
  • Any entity set becomes a dataset
  • Schedule background refresh

How do you connect OData to Flitch?

Connect with Basic auth or OAuth2 to your OData v4 endpoint. Read-only.

OData integration FAQ

What OData version does Flitch support?

Flitch connects to OData v4 endpoints. Any entity set your service exposes becomes a dataset you can build dashboards on.

How do I authenticate an OData connection?

You can connect with Basic auth or OAuth 2.0, depending on what your OData service requires. The connection is read-only, so Flitch only reads from your feed.

Can I dashboard multiple entity sets from one feed?

Yes. Each entity set in your OData feed becomes its own dataset, so you can build dashboards across the different entities your service exposes.

Does Flitch refresh my OData feed automatically?

Yes. You can schedule a background refresh so Flitch re-reads your entity sets on a regular basis and your dashboards reflect the latest records.

Do I need SQL to work with OData data?

No. You describe the dashboard you want in plain language and Flitch builds it. There is no query language to learn.

Does Flitch copy my OData data?

Only the objects you choose. OData is an API rather than a database Flitch can query in place, so those objects are pulled on your refresh schedule and stored as datasets. Nothing else is taken, and aggregation still happens in SQL against your data model, so a figure means the same thing on every dashboard built from it. Connect a database instead and Flitch queries it directly with no copy at all.
